“Freezing Red Memories, Drawing Strength to Forge Ahead” Themed Party Day Activity

On September 23, 2025, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and to carry forward the red heritage and cultivate a deep sense of patriotism and devotion to the country, the Party Branch of Wuchan Daofu organized all its members that afternoon to attend a themed film-viewing event, during which they collectively watched the patriotic film “The Nanjing Photo Studio.” By revisiting historical memories, the event aimed to rally collective strength and inspire continued progress. Following the screening, party members shared their reflections on the film’s content, further enhancing the effectiveness of patriotic education.

Light and shadow rewind history, while our original aspirations stir the heart.
The film “Nanjing Photo Studio” is set against the backdrop of Nanjing during the War of Resistance Against Japan. Through the changing fortunes of a local photography studio, it portrays the steadfast resilience and courageous resistance of ordinary citizens amid the ravages of war, vividly illustrating the profound sense of duty and patriotism that bound the Chinese people together in times of national crisis. During the screening, Party members were deeply immersed in the film’s gripping narrative and profoundly moved by the heroic deeds and ardent love for country displayed by its characters. Many remarked that the film uses a small, intimate lens to illuminate momentous historical events, offering a more direct and visceral understanding of the brutality of war and the hard-won value of peace.
Communication fosters consensus, and mission inspires us to forge ahead.
Following the film screening, the Party branch organized a reflection-sharing session for its members. Zhao Bin, a representative of the Party members, stated: “The poignant detail in the film—where the photo studio owner risked his life to preserve wartime footage—deeply impressed upon me the profound significance of ‘safeguarding historical memory.’ As Party members in the new era, we must even more so remember history, carry forward its spirit, and fulfill our responsibilities and commitments in our respective posts.” Other Party members also shared their thoughts, drawing on their own work experiences, about how to transform patriotic sentiment into the driving force for hard work and entrepreneurship, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere at the event.
Carry forward the red heritage and fulfill our mission and responsibilities.
In her concluding remarks, the Party branch secretary of Wuchan Daofu pointed out that this event represents an innovative practice for deepening Party history study and education within the branch, aimed at guiding Party members to draw wisdom and strength from history through immersive educational experiences. She emphasized that all Party members should take the spirit of the War of Resistance as their guide, stay committed to their respective posts, boldly assume a pioneering role in serving national strategies and promoting high-quality enterprise development, and translate the pledge “Rest assured, Party; a strong nation depends on me” into concrete actions.
This themed film-viewing event is an important component of the Party Branch of Wuchan Daofu’s series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance. Moving forward, the Party Branch will continue to deepen and solidify Party history study and education through on-site visits to red education bases and the organization of specialized Party classes, thereby injecting strong spiritual momentum into our efforts to embark on a new journey.
