To deepen the study and education on Party discipline, thoroughly study and implement the important remarks of General Secretary Xi Jinping on this work as well as the Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Disciplinary Actions, further enhance the political consciousness of Party members and cadres in studying, understanding, clarifying, and observing Party discipline, and ensure that the study and education on Party discipline are carried out in a thorough and effective manner, on June 5 the Party branch of Wuchan Daofu, in collaboration with the Party branch of the Hangzhou Branch of Huzhou Bank, organized a Party-building activity themed “Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival with Integrity and Cleanliness, Crafting Fragrant Pouches to Convey a Commitment to Honesty.”
This event has invited Ms. Xu Xiqi, a doctoral graduate of the Central Party School and a lecturer in the Department of Party History and Party Building at the Zhejiang Provincial Party School, to provide Party members with an in-depth interpretation of the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”).

Teacher Xu provided a systematic exposition and detailed explanation of the Regulations from three perspectives: the historical context of their drafting, their main contents, and effective study methods. Using vivid examples and plain language, he focused on interpreting the General Provisions of the Regulations, including the “one great spirit,” the “two firm commitments to safeguarding,” the “three ‘strict’ measures,” the “four forms of disciplinary action,” the “four confidences,” and the five types of disciplinary sanctions. He also offered a thorough analysis of the specific requirements under the “six major disciplines”: political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, discipline regarding relations with the masses, work discipline, and lifestyle discipline. The presentation was thematically clear and rich in content, combining theoretical depth with concrete examples, thereby helping participants gain a more in-depth understanding of the Regulations.

After the lecture, Zhou Na, Secretary of the Party branch, delivered a disciplinary education session, guiding Party members in studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Party discipline education, as well as other relevant study materials. She emphasized the need to maintain clear thinking, exercise prudence in conduct, and uphold purity in interpersonal relationships; that rules and regulations must never be treated as mere formalities or ignored; and that techniques and norms must never be regarded as paper tigers.

Following this, Shen Siting, a Communist Party member at Huzhou Bank, delivered a speech titled “Chasers of Light in the New Era,” in which she highlighted the heroic deeds of Chen Yannian, an early leader of the Communist Party of China and a revolutionary martyr, and shared her reflections on how young people in the new era can uphold integrity and self-discipline in their work and daily lives.

Finally, participants jointly crafted Duanwu Festival sachets, thereby not only celebrating the festival and carrying forward traditional cultural customs but also conveying a message of integrity through every stitch. By seamlessly integrating elements of integrity with traditional culture, they fostered a clean and upright cultural atmosphere, marking a shift in integrity education from mere lecturing to immersive, subtle influence.
