Joint Innovation and Collaboration to Welcome the Asian Games: Shared Learning and Progress for Development

To further deepen the study and implementation of the thematic education on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, on August 31, the Party Branch of Wuchan Daofu and the Party Branch of the Hangzhou Branch Headquarters of Huzhou Bank jointly held a themed Party Day activity titled “Joint Innovation and Joint Development to Usher in the Asian Games; Shared Learning and Common Progress to Promote Development.”

I. Reaffirming the Party Oath and Celebrating Our Political Birthday

At the outset of the event, all Party members reaffirmed their oath of admission: “I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, uphold the Party’s program, abide by its constitution…” Through this solemn recitation of the oath, all Party members were once again reminded to keep firmly in mind the Party’s fundamental purpose, remain steadfast in their faith, and perpetually maintain the political character of a Communist Party member, thereby putting their solemn commitment to the Party into concrete action.

Subsequently, Comrade Zhou Na, the Party branch secretary, presented Comrade Liu Deming, who was celebrating his “political birthday,” with a “political birthday” card, while emphasizing the need to always bear in mind one’s status as a Party member, consistently uphold the advanced nature of Party members, exemplify the vanguard and model role of Party members, and devote oneself wholeheartedly to performing all tasks well.

II. Deepening Ideological Understanding Through Theoretical Study and Strengthening Party Spirit via Integrity Videos

Under the guidance of the secretaries and committee members of the Party branches on both sides, all Party members engaged in theoretical study. They carefully studied Governor Wang Hao’s speech at the rally to mark the 100-day countdown to the Hangzhou Asian Games, the spirit of the “One-Hour Party Discipline Education” document, the spirit of the Third Plenary Session (Expanded) of the 15th Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thought on Party building, and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on political morality, professional ethics, social morality, and family virtues.

Subsequently, participants watched two integrity-themed videos: “The Outcome of Earning ‘Smart Money,’” from the “Integrity Compass” segment on Hangzhou Television’s Comprehensive Channel, and the situational drama “Eating at the Boss’s Expense Instead of Public Funds? No Way!” from the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. Through these videos, everyone gained a deep understanding of the importance of steadfastly upholding their ideals and convictions, further deepened their comprehension of Party conduct and integrity building as well as the fight against corruption in the new context, and pledged to take these lessons to heart in their future work and daily life—remaining constantly vigilant, firmly guarding the “master switch” of their ideals and convictions, rigorously cultivating themselves, strictly disciplining themselves, and exercising power with utmost restraint, so as to conduct themselves with integrity, live with moral probity, and perform their duties with cleanliness and transparency.

In addition, Secretary Qiu of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Hangzhou Branch of Huzhou Bank provided a brief overview of the “Integrity and Transparency Supervision Card” that is soon to be rolled out to customers, solicited feedback from State Street Corporation, and pledged to accept oversight.

III. Songs of Praise for the Party, Striving in the New Era

At the conclusion of the event, all Party members joined in a rousing chorus of the revolutionary song “Singing to the Motherland,” their powerful voices serving to reaffirm the original aspiration and mission of Communists and further inspiring the spirit of forging ahead on the new journey.
