The Party Branch of Wuchan Daofu Holds a Symposium with Party Members and Mass Representatives

In accordance with the requirements of the plan for in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, on the morning of August 23, the Party Branch of Wuchan Daofu convened a symposium attended by Party members and representatives of the general public. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Siting, Director of the Party and Mass Work Department, and was attended by Party members, public representatives, and union committee members, who engaged in discussion and exchange.

During the symposium, all Party members first engaged in criticism and self-criticism. The criticisms covered such issues as insufficiently systematic and comprehensive theoretical study, lack of active participation in organizational activities, room for improvement in work efficiency, and an overemphasis on one’s immediate duties at the expense of theoretical learning. Through this process, each Party member gained a clearer understanding of the problems they themselves faced, re-examined their own strengths and weaknesses through mutual critique and self-reflection, and committed to leveraging their strengths while addressing their shortcomings, thereby continuously improving and enhancing themselves.

Next, Party members and representatives of the general public raised practical difficulties and offered suggestions and opinions regarding work and daily life, which were then taken up and addressed by the Party members present. The issues covered a wide range of areas, including work, personal life, and community activities. Relevant Party members and cadres from the Human Resources Department, the Party and Mass Work Department, the Trade Union, and the Office provided answers to those issues that could be resolved on the spot, while offering explanations and taking responsibility for those that could not be resolved immediately.

Finally, Zhu Siting, Director of the Party and Mass Work Department, delivered a concluding remarks. She pointed out that there is still room for improvement in the department’s work in several areas: first, the formats for organizing Party life can be made more diverse, with theoretical study better integrated into branch activities; second, the scheduling of Party branch activities needs to be more rational, ideally avoiding overlap with the busy periods of departments such as the Finance Department and the General Office; third, young Party members and employees should be encouraged to actively integrate into the company and leverage their fresh energy; and fourth, communication between Party branch members and the broader workforce must be further strengthened, with greater emphasis on listening to the views and suggestions of both Party members and non-Party employees. She stated that this symposium was highly significant, as it enhanced exchanges among Party members and the general public, tightened the bonds between them, and helped Party members in the branch better exemplify the vanguard and model role expected of Party members, thereby ensuring that Party work is effectively implemented and carried out in practice.
