Tracing Our Original Aspiration to Strengthen Party Spirit; Visits and Study Tours to Drive Improvement

On the morning of July 6, the Party branch of Wuchan Daofu conscientiously implemented the overarching requirements of the thematic education campaign—“study the guiding ideology, strengthen Party character, emphasize practical application, and achieve new accomplishments”—by organizing party members to visit the Hangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center for a field-learning activity titled “Tracing Our Original Aspiration to Strengthen Party Character; Visiting and Studying to Promote Improvement.” During this activity, participants delved into the important concepts and ideas put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Hangzhou’s urban development, and continued to gain a deeper understanding of the rich connotations and essential spirit of the “8-8 Strategy.”

On the afternoon of May 26, 2015, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Hangzhou’s urban development. He visited the Hangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, where he examined a sand table model, watched a video presentation, and listened to a briefing, gaining an in-depth understanding of the city’s development, with particular emphasis on the construction of its new districts. He commended Hangzhou for setting and consistently achieving the goals of enhancing the comprehensiveness of its urban functions, improving its ecological environment, and raising the quality of life for its residents.

Under the leadership of Zhu Siting, a member of the Party branch committee, all Party members of the Wuchan Daofu Party Branch retraced the city’s footsteps and traced its origins by visiting the Hangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall spans four floors and employs a variety of modern technological tools—such as multimedia digital models, a 4D motion theater, and a digital sand table—to present Hangzhou’s basic information, its historical development, and its future plans. A docent provided continuous commentary throughout the visit, guiding us from the first floor, “City of Mountains and Waters, a Beautiful Paradise,” to the fourth floor, “The Blueprint Unveiled,” as they eloquently recounted Hangzhou’s past, present, and future vision.
