According to the American lron and Steel institute (AlSl), the week ending on December 13, 2025, US domestic raw steelproduction was 1.753 million net tons while the capacity utilization rate was 76.5 percent.Production for the week ending on December 13. 2025. is up 1.1 percent from the previous week ending December 6. 2025. whenproduction was 1.734 million net tons and the rate of capacity utilization was 75.7 percent.
Production was 1.665 milion net tons in the week ending December 13, 2024, while the capacitly utilization was 75.0 percent. Thecurrent week production represents a 5.3 percent increase from the same period in the previous year.
Adjusted year-to-date production through December 13, 2025, was 85.881 milion net tons, at a capacity utiization rate of 76.8percent. That is up 3.4 percent from the 83.068 milion net tons during the same period last year, when the capacity utilization ratewas 75.4 percent.
