Youfa Kunda commissions first spiral welded pipe line
Guangxi Youfa Kunda Pipelines Technology has commissioned its first spiral welded steel pipe production line. This marks the start of operations for Youfa Group's production base in Qinzhou City, Guangxi Province.
The base will have three spiral welded steel pipe production lines and two straight seam welded pipe production lines with a total capacity of 400,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. It is also equipped with an anti-corrosion deep processing workshop. Total investment is estimated to reach CNY 412 million ($60.8m).
Initial output comprises 820mm outer diameter and 10mm thick pipe, in a length of 12 metres. The diameter of products from this production base ranges from 219mm to 4,220mm. Applications include key projects such as municipal water supply and drainage, long-distance gas transmission, irrigation water diversion, wind power foundations, port infrastructure, and national water network construction.
The group will leverage the location and policy advantages offered by the Qinzhou Free Trade Zone to supply for infrastructure projects in south China or export to ASEAN.
