Al Yamamah lands wind tower supply contract

Saudi Arabia’s Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co has signed a SAR 126 million ($33.6m) contract to supply steel wind towers for the Yanbu Wind Farm, according to a bourse filing.
The agreement was signed on 15 April with SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co. The contract has a nine-month duration, with deliveries beginning in April 2026, with the financial impact expected to start appearing in the second quarter of 2026. The company has said no related parties or third parties are involved in the deal, Kallanish notes.
The company entered the renewable energy sector in 2018 with the establishment of a solar power systems factory in Jeddah and expanded further in 2025 with the launch of a wind power systems facility in Yanbu Industrial City.
In its latest financial results for the period ending 31 December 2025, Al Yamamah reported first-quarter revenue rising 2.8% year-on-year to SAR 498.2m. Gross profit surged 95.7% y-o-y to SAR 76.6m, compared with SAR 39.1m in the same period last year.
Al Yamamah manufactures lighting and transmission poles, high masts, overhead transmission lines and telecom towers. Its construction segment also includes steel pipe production and Al Yamamah Factory for Reinforcing Steel Bars, a 600,000 tonnes/year re-rolling mill in which it holds a 72.5% stake.
